Description: Going Wireless-less: Enabling the Cabling in your Home Network Our past presentations on home networking have focused almost exclusively on wireless technologies. But for our May General Meeting, we�ll approach this topic from a different perspective, as we examine the advantages and disadvantages of setting up a home network with cables � a wireless-less network. During our presentation, we will: * Explain why a wired network is a better option for some home users * Show you what type of cables you�ll need * Describe the hardware devices found in most networks � modems, routers, hubs, and network interface cards * Demonstrate how to make all your cable connections (and how to tell the difference between your modem ports and network ports) * Explain how to configure the networking software on your router and computers * Describe how to troubleshoot your networking using common network diagnostic tools We�ll also conduct a hands-on demonstration of how to run cables between rooms in your house, which will include everything from splicing cable, knocking holes in your wall in an elegant fashion, and hooking everything up correctly so it all works right when you�re done.

The key benefit to using slide masters is that on the slide master you can make universal style changes to every slide in your Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 presentation. Animation effects can add excitement to your presentations and help you emphasize key points while you deliver the slide show. Use the built-in animation effects in PowerPoint, and create your own customized effects.
