Adobe SIG (formerly Macromedia SIG)

The Cleveland Adobe Users Group, formerly the Cleveland Macromedia Users Group, is the area's main resource on Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks, Flex and other web design and development tools that make up the former Macromedia product catalog, now a part of Adobe. We'll also cover some of the Adobe packages and how they work with the web. Computer Video Editing SIG

Learn about and experiment with Computer-based video editing. A cutting edge techology in Computer-based video editing. We will deal primarily with Pinnacle, Sony Vegas and coming soon Final Cut Pro. Services we provide are studio time, some special events and advice. We want to help you with your video experience whether hobbyists or professional.

e-Newsletter SIG

This cutting edge group gives you the skinny on preparing, designing, and publishing electronic newsletters, be they personal, professional, or commercial. We meet the third Thursdays, except as noted in the GCPCUG calendar. The e-Newsletter SIG explores the in's and outs of publishing e-newsletters for commercial, professional or personal use.
Flex SIG

To discuss Flex software development topics with other Flex developers.
For Flex developers who want to learn more about creating RIA's (Rich Internet Applications) using Flex by Adobe.
Hardware SIG
(3rd Sat) 10:00AM–12:00PM

Learn about hardware, troubleshooting, utilities, and other things that make that box called a computer run. Informal meetings with time for Q&A.
This SIG meets and discusses the Hardware Hot Topic for the month along with addressing questions asked by attendees.
Home Networking SIG
3rd or 4th Wed., 7 - 9 PM (unless otherwise noted)

Understand, design and build home networks.
Meetings are usually held at the Solon branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library, but please check each month's meeting announcement for exact date and location.
IT Careers SIG

The IT Careers SIG will provide a forum for the discussion of career issues pertaining to IT and related fields, job prospects, resume building, interview strategies, future directions in IT. SIG will meet quarterly: (January, April, July, October) The meeting will examine all aspects of Information Technology (IT) jobs and careers.
MS Access SIG
(2nd Mon) 6:30PM–8:30PM

This Special Interest Group is aimed at the beginning to advanced users of the MS Access database manager. The Access SIG has a general audience of people new to relational databases or new to MS Access all the way to seasoned developers.
MS C#/VB .NET SIG
(4th Tue) 6:30PM-8:30PM

To provide a forum for sharing information and networking for those who work with C# or Visual Basic.NET. We invite programming professionals, as well as hobbyists, to join us every month.
Our group meets once a month, on the 4th Tuesday, to discuss new ways of improving their C#/VB.NET skills. Various topics are presented and demonstrated. We're also open to discuss any programming issue anyone may have.
MS Office SIG

The MS Office SIG is a forum for those who use Microsoft Office products frequently and would like to learn more about them. Bring your MS Office products questions and answers and call the leader to find out what will be covered.
MS SQL Server SIG
(2nd Thu) 5:45PM-8:00PM

The MS SQL Server SIG is a forum for those who would like to learn more about the Microsoft SQL Server database. This Sig will deal with all levels and challenges of SQL server 2005. Future topics will include indexing strategies, ADO.Net development, performance tips
MS Visual FoxPro SIG
(4th Tue) 6:30PM–8:30PM

We will talk about all aspects of the latest version of FoxPro by Microsoft Corporation.
MS Windows Server SIG
(1st Tue) 6:00PM–8:00PM

The Windows Server Sig focuses on Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2000, Windows NT and the myriad products that work with the server operating systems. Each meeting has a general Q&A followed by a technical presentation by a vendor or a member. Many of our attendees are certified or working toward certification and the meeting content reflects that.
Novell NetWare SIG
(1st Wed) 6:00PM–8:00PM

Most meetings feature a speaker with pertinent Novell topics. Please call the week before the meeting for details. All meetings offer a Q&A session, so come and have all of your Novell questions answered.
Paradox SIG
(2nd Wed) 6:30PM-8:30PM

The Paradox group addresses topics of interest for users of Paradox for Windows. Generally, each month's topic about Paradox and related topics is presented. Meetings offer a question and answer period about the program or any other topic concerning Paradox.
PIG SIG
(2nd Sat)12:30PM-2:00PM

The PIG (Party-in-Group) SIG meets immediately after the General Meeting. A small group of GCPCUG members gathers for lunch at a local restaurant. The PIG SIG is different from all the other SIGs. It is a nutritional experience as well as a learning experience. PIG stands for Party-In-Group.
Quickbooks SIG

This SIG focuses on the use of Intuit's QuickBooks to satisfy accounting and reporting needs of small businesses.
Small Business IT SIG

Facilitate and support the use of IT in small businesses.
Web Development SIG

We meet on the third Saturday of every month to discuss all aspects of web design and development. The CDPUG/GCPCUG Web Development SIG is a Web Development special interest group sponsored jointly by the Cleveland Digital Publishing Users Group (CDPUG) and the Greater Cleveland PC Users Group (GCPCUG).
Windows Small Business Server SIG
(4th Thu) 6:00-7:30pm.

To introduce the Microsoft Small Business Server which is a complete networking solution for small businesses with 75 or fewer computers. To further our knowledge about Small Business Server and all the products and features that are bundled in the product.
